We all know that IO Interactive’s previous trial to bring the Hitman game to VR was pretty good but they announced that they will be realising Hitman PSVR2. The trailer has already been teased and I’m not going to lie it does look good with improved mechanism, graphics, and many other stuff. But will it be as good as this series is known for or will be a joke all around?
Hitman PSVR2 was set to be released in December 2024, but now it’s been delayed to March 27, 2025. I encourage this step because no one appreciates the release of an unfinished game. We all want a properly optimized title that is enjoyable to play and has good physics and graphics.
Table of Contents
Things IOI needs to learn from previous mistakes in other Hitman VR game
- Moving away from the centered body just used to feel unreal and messed up the whole body and things.
- The visual elements were quite ugly.
- Gun angles were bad.
- You can’t crouch, have to use the buttons.
- Throwing elements felt a bit buggy and sometimes even fell just in front of you.
- Running felt off-direction and uncentered from the body.
Why does Hitman PSVR2 have the potential?
The interactive Storyline of Agent 47 is where you are the silent stealth tactic hitman in Hitman PSVR2 where you aim to assassinate your target. The Strategic gameplay as an assassin makes this a perfect fit for a VR experience. Plus PSVR2 enhanced resolutions, specifications, tracking, and haptics enhance the gameplay and graphics experience which makes this game even more enjoyable.
This game already has sandbox-like gameplay where you can interact with NPCs and objects in a much more realistic way, with greater freedom to explore the atmosphere and natural gestures and unique strategic gameplay in first-person perspective making Hitman PSVR2 a great gaming experience.
Who doesn’t like Dual Gun Action, that too in VR? I think the dual gun shooting mechanism in this game could be the main highlight as is showcased in the trailer the most. The deadly actions and shooting add a whole other level of fun to this game where you might just want to rush and assassinate the target however, it might also add some difficulty.
Hitman as Agent 47 is a fun and challenging game. Challenges can be difficult, especially in VR making this series to be dependent on replayability. If IOI can nail the physics and graphics this time, this game is going to be a great play, making players replay the missions again and again to achieve the goal as this game is dependent on replayability.
Hitman already has a strong fanbase and all IO Interactive has to do is just stand and meet the gamers’ expectations and no wonder that the Hitman PSVR2 game might be a huge success.

Authors’ Thought
I am genuinely excited to try this game out as soon as this game releases. This game’s success is dependent on IO Interactive’s dedication and hard work. We can only hope for the best for them. I want to see this game as a success because being Agent 47 and assassinating his targets would be so cool to play.
